一佛乘

The one Buddha-(sa) yāna. The One Vehicle, i.e. Mahāyāna, which contains the final or complete law of the Buddha and not merely a part, or preliminary stage, as in Hīnayāna. Mahāyānists claim it as the perfect and only way to the shore of (sa) parinirvāṇa. It is especially the doctrine of the [lang id =1028]法華經 <Lotus Sūtra>; v. [lang id =1028]大乘.
